Title: 8th grade history teacher
Where are you from? My home was originally Highland, Indiana, up in the region in the northern part of the state. The long journey of my life brought me to Paoli, where I now live with my wife and numerous cats.
What made you apply for the job? Even though I received my degree in 2002, this is my first year of teaching. Teaching History has been a lifelong dream and when I had the opportunity I readily accepted.
What are you looking forward to in the new school year? I am looking forward to this new adventure and interacting with the students and staff.
What makes history exciting to you? To me history is a living thing, it teaches us who we are and guides us to where we are going.
What is something you’d like the community to know about you? My wife of 26 years, Valarie, is the pastor at Salem and Canton United Methodist Churches. We adopted our twin sons when they were 18 months old. We are the grandparents of Dravon, who is two.
