How many years have you been in education? This will be my fifth year teaching after a break home with my girls!
Why did you choose to come to Salem? My family moved to Salem in 2020 - my girls will be going here and I really wanted to work in the same system as them.
What are you looking forward to as the new school year begins? I’m excited to be back! I taught two years of fifth and really loved working with older kids - I tend to joke and like the personality that comes with fifth graders.
What is your favorite thing about teaching? My favorite thing is the predictability, but the unique differences that come with each group and year are what make it exciting. You never know what you’re getting year to year! Plus the kids offer such a fresh perspective on everything and keep me feeling up-to-date with a changing world.
What would you like the community to know about you? I love reading and interpersonal relationships and really want to bring that into my room this year.
