 New to SCS?

Enrollment for a student NEW to Salem Community Schools is conducted at 500 N. Harrison Street, Salem, IN.

Items needed to enroll:

  • proof of address 
  • birth certificate
  • immunization records
  • custody papers (if relevant)
  • Name, address, phone number and fax number of previous school

Open Enrollment Hours:
July 7 - July 14 (M-F): 8am - 1pm
July 17 - Aug. 2 (M-F): 8am - 4pm


If you would like to make an appointment outside of these times, or have any questions about the enrollment process, please call 812-883-4437.

(If your student finished the 2016-17 school year with Salem, or signed up at Kindergarten registration in April, they are already enrolled for the 2017-18 school year.)
